At Apex Facility Resources, we believe in celebrating not just the professional accomplishments of our team but also the unique personalities that drive our success. Our Employee Spotlight offers a glimpse into the lives of our exceptional team members, each of whom is dedicated to creating innovative and efficient workplace solutions for our clients.
In this Employee Spotlight, we’re pleased to introduce Bianca Brunsdon, Human Resources Manager. Let's dive into what makes her passionate both in and out of the workplace.
Spending quality time with my husband and our dog, enjoying time in nature and carving out time to pursue creative outlets and hobbies.
I view both employees and company leadership as clients within my role. My focus is on fostering a supportive and engaging workplace environment and positioning myself as a resource for all employees. I specialize in resolving people-related challenges, partnering with leadership to support their teams effectively, and enhancing organizational processes for overall success.
Working with a great group of driven individuals and supporting employees in every phase of their career. I also enjoy solving complex problems and bringing resolutions to people, especially ones that impact or improve their day-to-day experience.
I try to do one thing a day that is just for me – a walk with my dog, a run, something creative. Spending quality time with my friends and family also helps me maintain balance and keep things in perspective.
Simon Sinek, I admire Simon for his optimism and how he views success and helping other’s find their “why” in life and their profession. I think one of the most beautiful things is seeing someone inspired, fulfilled and thriving in the work that they do. Simon teaches leaders how to help themselves and others find this fulfillment and I hope to do the same in my career.
It’s okay to start over. Failure happens to everyone – it’s just a part of life. What really matters is how we handle things afterward. If you can view failure as something to learn from instead of something that defines you, it becomes a tool not just a setback.
Japonessa, a Japanese restaurant with a Latin twist. I love both Latin and Japanese food and I think a fusion of the two is so unique!
If I could pursue something knowing I wouldn’t fail, I’d open a dog rehabilitation and rescue center. I’ve always had a deep love for animals – especially dogs. I have a rescue pup myself, and she’s been the most incredible companion and addition to my family. I would support the rescue community and focus on behavioral rehabilitation, especially for those harder-to-adopt dogs who’ve had a tough start in life. Helping them heal and find loving homes would be really rewarding.
I originally went to school for Biochemistry and eventually found my way to Human Resources later in my career. I think natural science is fascinating! One of my current hobbies is learning about and collecting plants and expanding my home garden.
The part of the company DNA that speaks the most to me is Curious and Continuous Learner. I really enjoy understanding the why behind things and seeing the big picture and how everything fits together. I love learning new facts, ways of viewing things, or processes and I think it keeps me engaged and excited about work and life in general. I feel there is always something to learn or takeaway from a situation, problem, or new people who enter your life.
