At Apex Facility Resources, we believe in celebrating not just the professional accomplishments of our team but also the unique personalities that drive our success. Our Employee Spotlight offers a glimpse into the lives of our exceptional team members, each of whom is dedicated to creating innovative and efficient workplace solutions for our clients.
In this Employee Spotlight, we’re pleased to introduce Carolina Kamoi, Sales Executive. Let's dive into what makes her passionate both in and out of the workplace.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about creativity and design. I have a deep appreciation for jewelry making and metalworking, where I get to blend craftsmanship with artistic expression. I also love exploring different forms of art and design, whether it's architecture, interior spaces, or fashion. Creating and appreciating beautifully designed pieces keeps me inspired and constantly thinking about how form and function come together in meaningful ways.
I help clients create functional, efficient, and inspiring workspaces that support their business goals. Whether they're relocating, expanding, or reimagining their office layout, I provide tailored contract furniture and workplace solutions to meet their needs. I solve challenges like space optimization, budget constraints, and finding the right furniture to enhance productivity and employee well-being. My goal is to make the entire process seamless, from consultation to installation, ensuring clients get a workspace that works for them.
The opportunity to collaborate with clients and help bring their vision to life. I love the challenge of understanding their unique needs and finding creative, functional solutions that enhance their workspace. Whether it's optimizing a new office layout or selecting the right furniture for productivity and comfort, I enjoy making a tangible impact on their business. Plus, working with a team that values innovation and client success makes the experience even more rewarding.
For me, maintaining a healthy work/life balance is all about setting boundaries and prioritizing what matters the most. I stay organized and manage my time effectively, ensuring I'm fully present for my clients during work hours while also carving out time for personal growth, family, and self-care. I make a conscious effort to create balance by exercising, spending time with loved ones, and unplugging to recharge. I also believe that enjoying what you do makes a huge difference - when you're passionate about your work, it naturally integrates into a fulfilling lifestyle.
It would be Suzanne Tick. Her innovative approach to textile design and commitment to sustainability in commercial interiors are truly inspiring. She has a unique ability to blend art, functionality, and wellness into the workplace design, creating environments that enhance both aesthetics and productivity. I admire her forward-thinking vision and how she continuously pushes the boundaries of materials and design. Learning from her expertise in creating meaningful, sustainable spaces would be invaluable in helping clients build workspaces that are both beautiful and functional.
The best piece of advice I've been given is to "listen more than you speak". In sales and client relationships, truly understanding a client's needs, challenges, and goals is the key to providing the best solutions. By being an active listener, I can ask better questions, build stronger connectiosn, and offer tailored recommendations that add real value. It's a simple yet powerful principle that helped me grow both professionally and personally.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle is The Pink Door. Tucked away in Pike Place Market, it's a spot that blends incredible Italian-inspired cuisine with a warm, eclectic atmosphere. What makes it stand out for me is not just the delicious handmade pasta but also the unique experience-whether it's the live performances, cozy candlelit ambiance, or the feeling of discovering something truly special every time I visit. It's the perfect place for a memorable meal with great company.
I would launch a global design consultancy that transforms how people experience workspaces. I'd bring together the best minds in architecture, furniture, design, and technology to create innovative, sustainable, and highly functional environments for companies worldwide. The idea of sharing the future of work on a large scale - helping businesses create spaces that boost creativity, collaboration, and well-being - would be an incredible challenge and an even greater reward.
I once seriously considered becoming a jewelry designer. I've always been fascinated by craftsmanship, design, and how small details can make a big impact. While I ultimately chose a different path, that creative passion still influences how I approach problem-solving and design in my career today.
The commitment to creating spaces that work. I love that we don't just sell furniture - we provide solutions that enhance productivity, collaboration, and well-being for our clients. It's inspiring to be part of a team that truly understands the impact a well-designed workspace can have on a business and its people. The focus on innovation and client success aligns perfectly with my own passion for problem-solving and helping companies build environments where they can thrive.
