What keeps you passionate outside of work?

My wife Nikki, our daughter Lianna, my family, cooking, disc golf, video games, gardening, and anything involving a lake or outdoor activity.

Any chance to go out and do a hike, try out a new restaurant, or drive to the coast for the weekend have also been great escapes to stay passionate outside of work and allow the mind to relax and possibly take in new ideas or ways of thinking.

What problems do you solve for clients in your role?

By providing accuracy and proficiency to our clients, project managers, and all Apex team members, I can help relieve some of the stress related to moving, storage solutions, and project management. This creates synergy for everyone involved.

What’s your favorite aspect of your role at Apex?

I really enjoy the teamwork aspect of my new position. Everyone is ready to help when needed and provide advice.

How do you keep a healthy work/life balance?

I love to try new recipes from the various cookbooks I’ve acquired over the years. Sometimes it turns out to be great, sometimes it’s not so great but it is fun trying out new stuff.

I also have a 2 ½-year-old daughter that keeps my wife and me on our toes. Playing with her, taking her on walks, and watching her discover new things is an awesome feeling.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

For this question, I kept going back and forth, but I decided on Edgar Martinez. He’s been a hero of mine since a young age. His sportsmanship and clutch demeanor were always things I gravitated toward.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Dance and love like it’s your last day on earth.

Treat people like you want to be treated and never assume you know someone’s situation in life.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Seattle, and what makes it stand out to you?

El Camion and the Pink Door. If you haven’t been to either of these places you should try them.

If you could do anything and know you would not fail, what would it be?

Open a restaurant or a green screen studio. It’s always something that I thought would be cool, fun and creative.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

In 2018, I competed in the R2AK sailboat race. A coworker at the time was an avid sailor and had acquired an IOR-class sailboat, so we entered the race. We weren’t expected to do very well, but we ended up finishing in 7th place.

Which part of our company DNA speaks the most to you and why?

I would say that “Curious & Continuous Learner” and “Natural Problem Solver” would be the two traits that speak the most to me. I feel like these aspects of the job are what ultimately drew me here and what will most likely make me want to stay for years to come.
