Headshots-1
At Apex, we believe that our greatest strength is the people that make up our team. In late December, John Williams, Director of Sales and Marketing joined our team and we are thrilled to share with you all of the great things we have learned about him over these past few months.

What keeps you passionate outside of work?

I have a wide variety of activities outside of work which mainly revolves around family, travel, car racing and snow skiing.

How did you become a car enthusiast?

I grew up around motor sports and its stuck with me my whole life. Getting on track has always been my goal and the opportunity to race sports cars came up in 2014 and has become my real “hobby”.

You mentioned you are passionate about travel. What is the best trip you ever took?

My best ever trip was a vacation to Europe in 2019 with my wife. It was our 30th wedding Anniversary trip.

What problems do you solve for clients in your role?

We create solutions that solve client needs. That comes in a variety of ways which typically involves getting the right people, the right product and the right services in place for our clients. In many cases it is our ability to pivot quickly and provide flexibility in how we meet our client needs that sets Apex apart.

What is your favorite aspect of your role at Apex?

Connecting with customers and helping them enhance their workspace through planning, design, set up and ultimately integration with technology and their workforce. We are a team based organization and rallying our team to support client needs with their other consultants to ultimately solve for growth and space issues is very rewarding.

How do you keep a healthy work/life balance?

I like to play hard when not at work. We live in a wonderful part of the country that offers a multitude of outdoor activities and whether hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing I always enjoy the exhilaration that comes from our great northwest region. I also have a wonderful family that keeps me grounded, focused and energized for the days ahead.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Listen, everything starts with listening.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Seattle?

Too many to list but after 30 years living in Renton, WA the Melrose Grill pops to the top as one of my favorites.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I am a direct descendant of a pioneer doctor in Oklahoma territory. My Great Grandfather, Jesse Mooney, was a horse-n-buggy country doctor who practiced in Indian Territory in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He performed the first C-sections in the territory, treated eight Indian chiefs, and was instrumental in developing several pioneer communities in southeastern Oklahoma, then Indian Territory.

Which part of our company DNA speaks the most to you and why?

Natural Problem Solver. I really enjoy helping people and being part of a team. In my role as a Sales Leader, I face challenges daily that call on my skills to solve problems. I get great satisfaction in both helping our customers and helping our team in creating positive outcomes.
