What is your job title at Apex?
Project Coordinator
What problems do you solve for clients in your role?
I work with our vendors to ensure on-time furniture arrivals and help resolve any outstanding issues at the end of projects.
What’s your favorite aspect about your role at Apex?
Getting to work with different departments in the company.
How do you keep a healthy work/life balance?
Sticking to my routine during the work week and allowing myself downtime when I need it.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
This is a hard question, but maybe Brené Brown? I recently listened to her TED talk on vulnerability (I know, I’m late) and I loved what she said about vulnerability being the birthplace of creativity.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Start small.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A big German breakfast, which is basically just really good bread and a variety of toppings!
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would like to see cast as you?
Maybe Zoe Kravitz? She’s close to my age and has small arm tattoos like me. She’s much cooler (and shorter) than me though.
What’s one item on your bucket list?
I’d love to road trip across America.
What’s the best place you’ve traveled to, and why?
I’m half German and have family there so every time I go back to visit it feels like my second home. And I obviously love the food!
What’s your favorite restaurant in Seattle?
Primo’s Pizza Parlor. My husband and I have been going for years. The owners are so hospitable, and the happy hour is hard to beat.
What keeps you engaged/passionate outside of work?
Traveling. Cooking. Film & TV. My family and friends.
If you could do anything and know you would not fail, what would it be?
It’s what I went to school for and I still have days where I miss it.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
Maybe not surprising, but random…I’ve performed on stilts
